It is an unusual title for a gentle yoga CD. The image came to me as I was finishing up production, experimenting with the audio mix and following the recorded instructions in my own body. As I tuned in to the experience I found myself getting out of my head and back into my organic body; what was happening is that prana or life force was being awakened in a gentle yet profound way.

One of my favorite yoga sequences of all time is the simple yet mindful movement through the joints in the body. The stretches are unusually simple - focusing on one joint at a time versus the complexity of working multiple joints at once in a standard yoga pose. This simplicty gives the practitioner a wonderful opportunity to focus more clearly on a deeper experience of their own being - mind, body and breath. And there are many benefits of the 'joint flow'...
